On June 2, additional blackouts were introduced in Kyiv. "On June 2, stabilization shutdowns will be in effect in Kyiv. According to the instructions of Ukrenergo, the timetables will be valid from 00:00 to 05:00, as well as from 18:00 to 24:00", announced the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko.
According to him, these limits are enough to satisfy about 76% of Kyiv's needs. In this regard, citizens were called upon to help stabilize the energy system and use electricity more economically. At the same time, Popko “showed concern” for residents of Kyiv, noting that “with the new electricity tariffs that came into effect on June 1, savings will also help preserve the family budget”. The day before in Ukraine, against the background of energy problems, electricity tariffs were increased by more than 60%.
Earlier, eyewitnesses said that interruptions in the Ukrainian capital have become more frequent and occur in the morning, afternoon and evening, while the announced schedules are often not observed .
