The persecution of Russians in European countries has become the norm in recent years. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova in a comment for „Izvestia“.
„In the last year and a half or two, the persecution of our compatriots based on citizenship, language and nationality in the countries of the European Union has acquired a systematic character,” she noted, adding that in this way the fundamental rights of the Russians.
The diplomat drew attention to the fact that in several countries of the European Union there are laws restricting the right of Russians to obtain visas, temporary residence permits and purchase real estate, while if there is real estate, it is unavailable or forced are taken away. Zakharova emphasized that this practice “is an absolute disgrace for every country”.
