The Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) have already used American weapons to attack Russian territory . This was said by the assistant to the US president for national security issues, Jake Sullivan, to CBS television.
Sullivan emphasized that the use of long-range weapons transferred to Kiev to carry out strikes should be considered a fait accompli.
According to him, it makes no sense to refuse Kiev's request to expand the use of American weapons. Therefore, Ukraine's request has been satisfied, he concluded.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said the West had heard Russian President Vladimir Putin talk about a possible response from Moscow to the arms transfer to Ukraine. The Russian leader, during a conversation with representatives of world news agencies, said that Russia has the right to respond in kind to countries that supply Kiev with weapons that can be used for attacks on Russian regions.
