Canadian police announced yesterday that they had charged a citizen who returned from Syria with terrorism-related crimes.
This came after an investigation into suspicions that she had left for the country from the Middle East to join the jihadist group "Islamic State", Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Kimberly Polman, 51, has been charged with two counts - of leaving the country for the purpose of participating in the activities of a terrorist group and separately of participating in the activities of a terrorist group.
