Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan prepares to travel to the United States tomorrow , where he will participate in the NATO summit from July 9-11. He plans to make statements regarding the conflict in Ukraine and the Gaza Strip, CNN-Turk reports, BTA broadcasts.

Erdogan's discussions in Washington are expected to cover a wide range of topics. Its purpose is to comment on the ongoing crisis in the Gaza Strip and seek a solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

Security issues in the Black Sea region and broader dynamics in the Middle East will also be among the topics Erdogan plans to discuss. Moreover, the Turkish president is determined to highlight the global fight against terrorism, a topic he passionately defends, stressing the need for a united NATO stance against terrorist groups, especially the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). p>

Turkey, which boasts the second-largest army in NATO, has long sought the alliance's support in the fight against terrorism. Erdogan has been vocal about his frustration with the US over its support for the People's Protection Forces (PDF) in northern Syria, which Turkey links to the PKK. At the summit, Erdogan is expected to reiterate those concerns and push for greater solidarity from NATO members.

Many meetings of the Turkish president with his NATO colleagues are planned in Washington. These discussions are expected to support Turkey's interests and strengthen its position within the alliance. As one of the founding members of NATO, Turkey plays a central role in the alliance's strategic dynamics.
