From Poland's perspective, the policies of NATO must prioritize stability, as well as that the alliance must continuously strengthen its defense and demonstrate its unity, Polish President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with the American TV channel “Fox News”, Polish news agency PAP reported, quoted by BTA.
„Regarding the construction of security systems, American policies are stable and I, as the president of Poland, value that highly,” said Duda.
„Today we (NATO - PAP's note ed.) do not need new grandiose ideas, there are proven methods that allow us to stop any potential aggressor, he added.
The US is the leading country of the alliance, so a stable political situation in the US is of primary importance, the president said.
This year's NATO summit in Washington has been overshadowed by the US presidential race and the possibility of a second term for Donald Trump, who has announced that he will end aid to Ukraine and negotiate with President Putin to end the war in Ukraine.
