France, Germany, Italy and Poland want to develop long-range strike capabilities hit at a long distance, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.
This is according to a letter of intent announced by the four countries during the NATO summit in Washington and concerning the development and production of long-range strike capabilities.
The letter was signed by the defense ministers of the four countries and paves the way for cooperation aimed at strengthening military capabilities as well as the industrial base and European defense, the French defense ministry said.
At the same time, the leaders of Great Britain, Germany, the USA, France, Japan and 17 other countries adopted a package of initiatives aimed at supporting Ukraine. This is stated in a document entitled "Ukrainian agreement" published within the framework of the NATO summit in Washington, world agencies reported.
"Today we announce the conclusion of the "Treaty on Ukraine" in order to coordinate and accelerate our collective efforts to address Ukraine's comprehensive security needs as outlined in the NATO Summit Joint Declaration and in the security agreements and arrangements that each of the signatories to the treaty , has concluded with Ukraine", the document says. It clarifies that the participants "through this treaty declare their permanent intention and commitment to ensure that Ukraine can successfully defend its freedom, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity today and deter acts of aggression in the future".
