German Interior Minister Nancy Feser expressed her concern about serious threats from Russia, especially after the alleged plot to kill the CEO of the German arms manufacturer Rheinmetall, reports BTA.

„Although we do not discuss specific threats, the general increase in Russian aggression is something we take very seriously,” Feser said in Berlin

Fesser highlighted the country's cooperation with international allies and security forces to counter the strategies of Russian President Vladimir Putin. According to Feser, the Putin regime aims to weaken support for Ukraine, but Germany remains steadfast.

„They won't scare us”, she confirmed.

After the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia in 2022, Germany significantly strengthened its defense mechanisms. Fesser outlined a spectrum of threats, including espionage, sabotage, cyberattacks and even state terrorism. She revealed that German counterintelligence had successfully thwarted two potential acts of sabotage in Bavaria last April, preventing attacks that could have undermined Germany's support for Ukraine.

„Our security authorities are on high alert, working consistently to prevent any threats on German soil”, Feser explained.

The German interior minister reiterated the country's commitment to protecting its citizens and interests against Russian provocations

„We are determined to do everything in our power to counter Russian threats,” Feser concluded.

Germany is taking a strong stance against Russian threats, working closely with its allies and strengthening its defenses to ensure the safety and security of its country and support for Ukraine.
