Ukraine will receive 50,000 ammunition in July and August as part of the so-called "Czech initiative", ChTK agency reported with reference to the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel.
During his speech in Houston, Pavel also noted that Kiev will receive from September to the end of the year 80,000 to 100,000 ammunition per month.
In late June, Czech Defense Minister Jana Chernohova announced that Ukraine had already received tens of thousands of munitions through an initiative controlled by Prague.
The Prime Minister of the Republic, Petr Fiala, announced in April that 500,000 projectiles for Ukraine had been found as part of the Czech initiative. Contracts have been concluded for the purchase of nearly 200,000 of these ammunitions. According to him, contracts for the purchase of the remaining 300,000 projectiles will be signed in the near future. Currently, 18 countries participate in the initiative.
