Israeli military strikes southern Lebanon to prevent militants from shelling northern Lebanon of the Shiite organization Hezbollah, the press service of the army announced.
"Some time ago, soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces identified two Hezbollah terrorists in the Deir Mimas region of southern Lebanon who were preparing to fire projectiles in the direction of Israeli territory. In addition, Israeli artillery opened fire in the direction of the settlements of Kfar Qila and Alma al-Shaab in southern Lebanon “to eliminate threats”, the army said.
