Russian drones have again flown over Ukraine and entered Belarusian airspace - 1

Russian combat drones have once again flown over Ukraine and entered the airspace of Moscow's ally, Belarus, DPA reported, citing the Ukrainian Air Force, quoted by BTA.

Two out of four Russian drones of the "Shaheed" type were taken down last night. According to the Ukrainian military, the other two drones "went astray over Belarusian airspace."

The Belarusian military blog "Hajun-Project" (Hajun-Projekt), which is knowledgeable, also reported this case. The fourth errant drone was observed over Belarus for about two hours this morning. He flew about 300 kilometers along a winding flight path in the Mogilev region in the northern part of the country.

In all four cases, the Belarusian armed forces escorted the Russian drones with a helicopter and a fighter jet. There is no information on how the flights of the unmanned aerial vehicles ended, DPA notes. Drones usually crash into their target at the end of their flight.

There is no official confirmation of the information from the Belarusian side.

Belarus is Moscow's closest ally and its leader Alexander Lukashenko provided the country's territory for the deployment of troops for the Russian invasion of Ukraine, DPA notes.
