Russian forces captured two villages in Ukraine - Rozovka in Luhansk Oblast and Peschanoe Nizhnee in the Kharkiv region, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced today, quoted by TASS and Reuters, quoted by BTA.
This information has not been independently verified. So far, there has been no reaction from Ukraine.
“The parts of group “West“ liberated the localities of Rozovka (Andreevka in Ukraine) and Peschanoe Nizhnee“, the daily briefing of the Russian Ministry of Defense says.
In the last week, Russian forces captured several small and depopulated settlements in eastern Ukraine, according to France Press. They are advancing mostly in the Donetsk region, currently advancing on the cities of New York (Novogrodsk) and Toretsk.
These attacks, which are very expensive in terms of loss of soldiers and equipment, do not allow for a major breakthrough that could radically change the situation on the front, notes AFP.
