Warships from the Russian Baltic Fleet will visit the port of Havana from July 27 to 30, Russian news agencies reported, citing the Cuban Defense Ministry, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
This will be the second such visit this year.
The RIA Novosti agency reported that the training ship "Smolny", the patrol frigate "Neustrashimy" and the refueling ship "Yelnya" will take part in the visit, and that the Russian sailors will meet with the commander of the Cuban naval forces.
Local residents will be able to board and tour the Smolny, the statement said.
A Russian naval frigate and a nuclear submarine entered Havana harbor last month, which the United States and Cuba said posed no threat but was seen as a Russian show of force at a time when tensions are rising over the war in Ukraine.
Havana is just 100 miles (160 km) from Key West, Florida, where a U.S. air base is located, and such visits are closely watched by Washington, Reuters noted.
