An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of southern Italy at 2:47 p.m. local time (3:47 p.m. Bulgarian time), according to a reference on the official website of European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), quoted by BTA.
The epicenter of the quake was 91 kilometers south of Taranto in the Puglia region and 28 kilometers northeast of Mirto. Its depth was 21 kilometers.
There are no reports of damage or casualties.
