The Russian company “Tatneft“ has increased oil exports to Slovakia and Hungary, compensating for a reduction in supplies from “Lukoil” through the “Druzhba” oil pipeline after the restrictions imposed by Ukraine, writes “Kommersant“, quoted by Focus.

About 330 thousand tons of oil were delivered to the countries along the southern branch of “Druzhba”.

In the first half of this year, the share of “Tatneft“ was 34% and 53% of the total volume of Russian oil exports to Hungary and Slovakia, respectively. After deliveries in July, these figures increased to approximately 77% and 92%.

On July 17, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó announced the suspension of the transit of Russian oil through Ukrainian territory. On July 18, Transpetrol, which manages the Slovak section of the Druzhba oil pipeline, announced that Slovakia had stopped receiving oil from Lukoil.

Later, Szijjártó, in response to a statement by the European Commission about the possibility of Budapest looking for alternative sources of oil supplies after blocking the transit through Ukraine to Hungary and Slovakia, said that Croatia is not a reliable transit partner.
