The night attack of kamikaze drones launched by the Russian army continues. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and monitoring channels reported that several drones were flying towards Zhytomyr. Local sources reported explosions in the Zhytomyr region. Whether it is a question of hits or shelling from air defense, or both, is not clear from the short messages quoted by BTA.
In addition, according to Ukrainian Telegram channels, about two and a half dozen drones are now maneuvering over Chernihiv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Cherkassy, Poltava and Kirovohrad regions. Reports of air defense work came from the Dnipro region.
An air alert was declared across Ukraine, except for the western part and Odesa region, where the alert related to the threat of a missile attack was only recently lifted. As of 7 a.m., there was an air alert in 9 regions, mostly in northern and eastern Ukraine.
Earlier in the night, Ukrainian channels reported explosions in the Belarusian city of Gomel after two kamikaze drones fired by the Russian army flew there.
Belarusian opposition Telegram channel "Belarusian Gayun" reported **two explosions**, including sounds from air defense. It was later reported that the Belarusian Air Force had picked up two fighters. Ukrainian channels previously reported that the Russian drones, after maneuvering over Ukrainian territory, headed for Belarus.
Gomel is located 30-40 km from both the Russian and Ukrainian borders.
