President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that his country should be in a strong position for any negotiations, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
Telling participants at the economic forum in Chernobyl in Italy, Zelensky said that Ukraine needs the full support of its allies to be in a strong position for any future negotiations with Russia. He called on the West to help Ukraine launch long-range strikes against Russia.
The president said that Ukraine would particularly like to strike Russian airfields at a range of up to 300 kilometers.
Zelensky arrived in Chernobyl earlier today. He is expected to speak with Italian Prime Minister Giordano Meloni there tomorrow.
Before Chernobyl, Zelensky was at the Ramstein air base in Germany for a meeting with the defense ministers of the countries that are allies of Ukraine.
