The foreign ministers of the G-7 countries condemned "most categorically" sending Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
"Iran must immediately and completely end its support for Russia's illegal and unjustified war against Ukraine and stop such transfers of ballistic missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and related technologies,", Canada's foreign ministers said in a joint statement , France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Great Britain and the USA. The text states that the weapons with which Tehran supplies Moscow "pose a direct threat to the Ukrainian people, as well as to European and international security".
Earlier this week, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Russia had received ballistic missiles from Iran and was likely to use them within weeks, and the US, Germany, Britain and France imposed new sanctions on Tehran.
The Kremlin and the Iranian foreign minister, for their part, rejected the accusations of the Western allies.
