An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.0 on the Richter scale was registered on the territory of Eastern Turkey at 08:06 hours local time (which coincides with Bulgarian time), shows a reference on the official website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), cited by Focus.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 118 kilometers north-northwest of Şanlıurfa – a city with a population of nearly 450,000, and 31 kilometers east-southeast of Malatya. Its depth was 13 kilometers.

There are no reports of injuries or damage.
