The Lebanese group "Hezbollah" carried out an attack with heavy rockets against a military airport near the city of Afula and the "Ramat David" air base. in Israel, reported the Lebanese television channel Al-Manar, referring to an official statement of the organization, quoted by News.bg.
According to the statement of "Hezbollah", the group fired missiles "Fadi 1" and "Fadi 2" along the military airport "Magido", located in the western part of Afula. In another announcement, it was specified that the "Fadi-2" missiles hit the Ramat David base and airport.
Al-Manar noted that on Monday "Hezbollah" has responded to ongoing Israeli military action in Lebanon, with resistance fighters striking Israeli positions in northern occupied Palestine, including the areas around Haifa and Tiberias.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that between 02:39 and 02:40 on Tuesday, five shells were detected fired from Lebanon, and at 03:11 another ten shells were recorded. Some of them were intercepted by anti-aircraft defenses, while others fell in open areas.
In response, the Israeli Air Force launched strikes against the sources of the fire, the press service of the Israeli army informed. At the same time, it was reported that the Israeli military continued attacks on targets of "Hezbollah" in Lebanon within the framework of operation "Northern Arrows".
"In recent hours, under the guidance of military intelligence, the Israeli Air Force attacked hundreds of Hezbollah targets, including launch sites, command centers and terrorist infrastructure in various areas of southern Lebanon, the official statement said the Israeli army, published on Tuesday in Telegram.
Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force has struck approximately 1,600 Hezbollah targets. in South Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.
Meanwhile, Lebanon's health ministry said the death toll from Israeli airstrikes in the country had reached at least 492 people, including 35 children and 58 women. About 1,645 people were injured, according to the ministry.
