Turkey's President Recep Erdogan announced the use of force against Israel if it does not stop its attacks in Lebanon and the Gaza Strip, BNR reported.

After a meeting with the government in Ankara, Erdoğan explained that the decision must be taken by the UN Security Council, but in the event of a veto, the General Assembly can also intervene, according to his 3 November 1950 resolution, according to which it can call on the member countries of the world organization to take collective action to fulfill its obligation to maintain international peace and security:

"If the UN Security Council does not show the necessary will, the power of the General Assembly to recommend the use of force, according to the 1950 resolution "Unity for Peace", must be urgently activated, the Turkish president said.

Erdogan appealed on behalf of Turkey to the international community and the Muslim world to mobilize for the sake of achieving peace.

He also said that Turkey delivered 30 tons of humanitarian aid to Lebanon on Wednesday and will continue to do so as long as security conditions permit.

" Today, standing up for Palestine, for Lebanon, means standing up for humanity, peace and the culture of coexistence of different beliefs,' Erdogan added.

He also called on Muslim countries to take economic, diplomatic and political steps against Israel to force it to accept a ceasefire, adding that Israeli attacks would also target them if Israel was not stopped soon.
