Ukraine Defense Forces used ATAKMS missiles to destroy one of the famous radar stations "Nebo-M" of Russia. "Units of the missile forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a successful attack on the Russian radar "Nebo-M". with ATAKMS ballistic missiles. Its destruction will significantly weaken the capabilities of the Russian military to detect, track and intercept aerodynamic and ballistic targets," the message said.
It is noted that the destruction of the long-range radar will create a favorable "air corridor" for the effective use of cruise missiles "Storm Shadow" and "SCALP-EG".
"Sky-M" is a tricky target given its so-called stealth mode, in which it can meticulously monitor the airspace for flying objects. Russia reportedly has only ten active systems of this model, each costing over $100 million.
