Fires at two Russian oil depots after possible strikes by Ukrainian drones - 1

Two oil depots in Russia, possibly hit by Ukrainian drones, are burning in the Voronezh region and the Perm region. The governor of the Voronezh region, Alexander Gusev, said a fire broke out after radio-electronic warfare systems intercepted and silenced the Ukrainian drones, with one of them falling on the territory of an oil base in the Aninsky region. According to Gusev, an empty tank was on fire and no one was injured, and the services are working to control the situation, quoted by News.bg.

Nevertheless, the regime of increased security in the region, due to the danger of new attacks, remains in force.

A fire also broke out at a storage facility for petroleum products in the Perm region, where the Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed that around 60 personnel with 19 pieces of equipment were on site to control the blaze, which had engulfed around 10,000 sq m meters in the industrial zone of the village of Osentsi. The authorities managed to prevent the spread of the fire to the nearby settlement. The reasons for the accident have not yet been specified.

The Ministry of Defense of Russia reports that in the last 24 hours there have been attacks by 18 Ukrainian drones over the Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov regions and over the waters of the Sea of Azov. All drones were shot down or neutralized, with six each detected over Belgorod and Voronezh regions, one over Rostov region and five over the Sea of Azov. Traditionally, the Russian military does not admit direct hits from these attacks.
