The recently inaugurated President of Mexico Claudia Sheinbaum and her American counterpart Joe Biden they talked on the phone last night, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA, referring to posts of the two on social networks.
Sheinbaum indicated that the economic and commercial cooperation between the two countries was discussed, the agency explained.
The mandate of the new Mexican president, who was sworn in earlier this week, is for six years, while the US presidential election is on November 5. Biden's vice president, Kamala Harris, is the Democratic contender against Republican Donald Trump, who is seeking to return to the White House.
"We discussed bilateral cooperation on economic and trade issues," Sheinbaum wrote on the social platform "X", specifying that cultural topics were also touched upon.
