Pyongyang called US claims of sending DPRK troops to Russia dirty maneuvers - 1

Claims of DPRK sending troops to Russia are “dirty maneuvers” of the US and its allies to cover up their own crimes and prolong the conflict in Ukraine, said the first secretary of the country's mission to the UN, Il Ha Kim.

„They supply Ukraine with all types of lethal weapons prohibited by international law. , including cluster bombs”, the North Korean diplomat said at an informal meeting of the UN Security Council.

Earlier, Putin, asked if he would allow North Korean servicemen to be drawn into the "special military operation", said that Russia “didn't ask anyone for this” and “no need” of this.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova emphasized that the interaction between the Russian Federation and the DPRK in the military sphere does not violate the norms of international law, and the information about the arrival of military personnel from North Korea in Russia is “stuff and noise”.

During Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Pyongyang on June 18-19, Russia and North Korea signed a new comprehensive strategic partnership agreement, which stipulates that if either side is subjected to an armed attack by any country or several countries and finds itself in a state of war, then the other party will immediately provide military and other assistance by all means at its disposal, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter and in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the DPRK.

Furthermore, according to the eighth article, the parties shall establish mechanisms for carrying out joint activities with the aim of strengthening defense capabilities in the interest of preventing war and ensuring regional and international peace and security.

Maria Zakharova stated that the Treaty is not directed against the interests of other countries, as it is non-confrontational and defensive in nature.
