Incumbent US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris made a surprise appearance on the comedy show Saturday Night Live on Tuesday. ("Saturday Night Live") on American television NBC, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA, noting that this happens only three days before the main day of production of the vote.
The Democratic nominee opened this edition of the show.
Harris now played herself, appearing in a mirror as the reflection of the actress who embodies her character on the show - Maya Rudolph, who took on the role of nervously preparing for a campaign speech Kamala.
Dressed identically in black suits and bedecked in pearls, the two played different versions of the White House contender's first name in the skits, saying Americans wanted to "put an end to the Drama-la" in politics with "a cool stepmom-ala".
"I don't really laugh like that, do I?", Harris asked Rudolph as the actress imitated the vice president's giggle. "Tiny", answered Maya.
This was Harris's first appearance on the show, which has featured a number of presidential candidates, according to Reuters. Trump did it during his first campaign in 2015. Kamala Harris's current challenger also ran in 2004, long before he entered politics.
