After a long pause, the Russians deployed a submarine with four "Calibre" cruise missiles in the Black Sea. on board, writes UNIAN, quoted by Focus.
According to the representative of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Captain 3rd Rank Dmitry Pletenuk, the Russian Black Sea Fleet has the capabilities to launch a total salvo of over fifty "Calibre" missiles.
"The submarine is in the eastern part of the Black Sea, as its task is most likely to protect the naval base in Novorossiysk. In the northern part of the Black Sea, from the Crimea to the southern coast – Nikolaev and Odessa, the depth does not allow the use of such submarines, which are in service with the Black Sea Fleet,”, the captain pointed out.
According to Pletenuk, a total of eight missile carriers remain in the composition of the Russian Black Sea Fleet - five surface ships and three submarines, of which at least seven are in service. The spokesman said five Russian ships have eight launchers each and three have four launchers. Their total salvo is 52 rockets.
