The new leader of “Hezbollah” Naim Kassem said today that he has tens of thousands of fighters ready to face the Israeli army and warned that no place in Israel is safe from the rockets and drones of the pro-Iranian movement, AFP reported.
As Naim Qassem's pre-recorded speech was being broadcast, the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of neighborhoods in the southern suburbs of Beirut, where his predecessor Hassan Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli strike on September 27.
„We have tens of thousands of trained resistance fighters who can resist and stand firm” against Israel, said Sheikh Naim Qassem in a speech marking 40 days since Nasrallah's assassination.
Since September 23, the Israeli army has been conducting a campaign of intensive strikes against Lebanon, targeting in particular Hezbollah strongholds, and on September 30, it launched a ground offensive.
„Hezbollah“ claims that its fighters are resisting Israeli operations in the border areas, and claims that it fires rockets, shells and drones into Israeli territory on a daily basis.
„Israel will scream (in pain) under the rockets and drones, no part of the Israeli formation is unreachable to our drones and rockets,” warned the leader of “Hezbollah”.
The pro-Iranian movement said today it had targeted a military base near Ben Gurion Airport, south of Tel Aviv.
However, according to the Israel Airports Authority, traffic at Israel's main airport was not affected.
The leader of “Hezbollah“ also said it does not count on the results of the US election, which is one of the ceasefire brokers, to lead to an end to the fighting.
„We do not rely on the American elections. "Whether Harris or Trump wins is of no value to us," Naim Kassem said in a speech recorded before the Republican's victory was announced.
