North Korean military personnel have already engaged in battles with Ukrainian forces as part of the airborne troops of Russia, was announced today in the parliament of South Korea based on information from the South Korean intelligence, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
About 10,900 North Koreans were stationed in Russia's Kursk region, the world agency said, citing information from Seoul.
Pyongyang has also sent more weapons to Russia for the war in Ukraine, including howitzers and rocket launchers, Reuters continued, citing statements by South Korean parliamentarians who cited the national intelligence service.
Intelligence in Seoul is still trying to determine the exact number of casualties given so far by North Korea, as well as whether any of the troops sent by Pyongyang have surrendered, according to Reuters.
