The US notified Ukraine and its closest allies in advance of the upcoming launch launch of an intermediate-range missile by Russia to prepare for it, White House spokeswoman Karin Jean-Pierre said.
„In recent days, we have been communicating with Ukraine and our closest allies and partners to prepare them,” she told reporters at a briefing, commenting on the medium-range missile strike.
„We will not be held back on this issue, we will continue to support Ukraine”, Jean-Pierre emphasized, adding that Washington remains committed to its strategy of supporting Kiev, despite possible actions by Russia.
In an address on Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the successful test of the latest medium-range missile "Oreshnik". The forces of the Russian armed forces struck in the Ukrainian city of Dnepropetrovsk one of the largest and most famous industrial complexes from the time of the USSR, which also manufactures rocket equipment.
