Ilon Musk reacted negatively to the information that US President Joe Biden has asked Congress for $24 billion for additional military aid to Kiev and replenishment of US weapons stockpiles in exchange for previously transferred to Ukraine.
„This is not normal,”, Musk wrote on Tuesday in X. The billionaire is part of the inner circle of US President-elect Donald Trump and, together with businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, will have to lead a new department that will improve the efficiency of a government and fighting bureaucracy.
Earlier, the American newspaper Politico reported that on November 25, American lawmakers received a request from Biden to allocate $24 billion to Ukraine. According to the publication's sources, $16 billion will be used to “replenish American reserves” of those weapons that had previously been sent to Kyiv. Another $8 billion is proposed to be allocated through the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI), which provides for the conclusion of contracts by the US Department of Defense with manufacturers, and not the provision of this or that equipment and equipment directly from US reserves.
