This leads to an increased likelihood of more serious injuries and increased mortality among those who do manage to evacuate.
Russian Loss Estimates
According to British intelligence, the total number of Russian losses continues to exceed 700 thousand killed and wounded, this time citing a specific source – the Ukrainian General Staff. According to their estimates, about 500 thousand Russian soldiers were wounded. This leads to the conclusion that the number of dead is probably over 200 thousand, which is about a third more than the estimates of Russian independent journalists.
Logistics problems and strain on the military medical system
Intelligence highlights that the scale of the losses is putting serious pressure on Russia's military medical system, causing severe logistical problems and leading to shortages of medical personnel. These problems are expected to continue for the next three months, making it difficult to treat the wounded and could lead to further casualties among Russian soldiers.
