South Korean prosecutors began investigation into the country's President Yoon Suk-yeol, the interior minister and the now-former defense minister for their role in imposing martial law, Yonhap reported today, as quoted by BTA.
Kim Jong-hyun, who resigned as defense minister over his involvement in implementing the martial law order on Tuesday, has been banned from traveling pending the completion of the prosecutor's investigation, Yonhap reported.
President and Interior Minister Lee Sang-min have not been banned.
Citing unspecified threats from "anti-state forces" and obstructionist political opponents, Yun imposed martial law that lasted about six hours. Then the parliament voted to repeal it.
