Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky offered him 500 million euros of Russian assets during the negotiations in Brussels in exchange for support for Ukraine's membership in NATO.
„Mr. President returned to the topic of gas during the talks. He asked me if I would vote for Ukraine's membership in NATO if he gave me 500 million euros of Russian assets. Naturally, I answered him: Never,“, the prime minister told reporters.
Fico considers Ukraine receiving an invitation to join NATO “completely unrealistic”.
The Slovak prime minister has repeatedly stated that he will never support Ukraine joining the alliance.
