A new wave of drones from Russia against the territory of Ukraine was registered last night, DPA reported, quoted by BTA, citing the Ukrainian air defense.
The drones, moving in swarms, came from different directions.
Moscow is trying to exhaust the Ukrainian population with constant drone and missile attacks, many of which are aimed at Ukraine's energy infrastructure, in order to disrupt electricity supplies and cut off water supplies and central heating, the agency notes.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has threatened retaliatory measures after a Ukrainian drone attacked the Russian city of Kazan.
“Anyone who tries to destroy something in our country will face much greater destruction in their own and will regret what they tried to do in our country,“ he said.
On Saturday morning, six Ukrainian drones crashed into residential buildings in Kazan, and another drone hit an industrial site. According to official data, no one was injured.
Kazan is located more than 1,000 km from the Ukrainian border. Although Ukraine has not claimed responsibility for the attack, it is said to have been in response to a Russian missile attack on Kiev.
