The number of people killed in the shooting in the Montenegrin town of Cetinje has reached 12 people, two of whom are children. This was said by the prosecutor of the Supreme State Prosecutor's Office in Podgorica, Andrijana Nastic.
“During this incident, 12 people died, including two children“, Nastic told reporters, adding that the shooter committed murders in five different places.
The director of the clinical center, Aleksandar Radovic, said that of the four people admitted overnight with injuries, three patients are in stable, serious condition, and one is in critical condition. “11 surgeons participated in the operations. The staff did their job professionally. The injuries to the patients are extremely dangerous and complications are possible“, he concluded.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, Danilo Šaranović, earlier stressed that the shooter, who was surrounded by police officers at night, after being offered to surrender, attempted suicide and died on the way to a medical facility.
