Half of UK citizens believe that American entrepreneur Elon Musk is having a negative impact on British politics after his frequent attacks on British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other figures from the ruling Labour Party, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The South African-born billionaire spent much of the past week using his "Ex" platform to attack the British Prime Minister over his opposition to another national inquiry into child molestation gangs.
In other posts, Musk expressed support for the populist "Reform UK" party, but called on its leader Nigel Farage to step down, and asked his 212 million followers whether the US should “liberate” the UK from what he called a “tyrannical government“.
A poll published on Saturday showed that some 53% of respondents told the polling agency “Opinion” that they thought Musk was having a negative influence on British politics, while just 12% thought he was having a positive influence.
”Reform UK” voters were unimpressed by Musk's claim that Farage should step down as party leader, with 71% saying the Clacton MP was the best leader they could have right now.
