A thousand new drones have been delivered to the Iranian army, reports "Reuters", citing the semi-official news agency "Tasnim", quoted by News.bg.
The country is preparing for new tensions with its main opponents – Israel and the United States, especially in connection with the arrival of future US President Donald Trump.
The drones have been delivered to various locations in Iran, and are said to have high stealth capabilities.
“The unique characteristics of the drones, including a range of over 2,000 kilometers, high destructive power, the ability to pass through protective layers with a low radar cross-section and autonomous flight, not only increase the depth of reconnaissance and surveillance of the borders, but also enhance the combat capability of the army's unmanned fleet in confronting distant targets“, the “Tasnim“ report said.
Earlier this month, Iran began two-month military exercises that included simulated war games. In them, the elite Revolutionary Guards defended key nuclear facilities in Natanz against possible missile and drone attacks.
