Putin's advisor: The notorious deep state in the US is very strong, they may not allow Donald Trump to turn around - 1

"It is especially alarming that the violent implementation of neo-Nazi ideology and fierce Russophobia are destroying the once prosperous cities of Ukraine, including Kharkiv, Odessa, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk. "It is possible that Ukraine will completely cease to exist next year," said Nikolai Patrushev, aide to the Russian president and former secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda.

Commenting on the geopolitical situation and expectations for changes before the inauguration of the newly elected US President Donald Trump, Patrushev stated that time will tell whether Trump will be able to fully realize his intentions.

"As his first term showed, the notorious deep state in the US is very strong. Perhaps they will not allow him to turn around. And the experience of the election campaign and the assassination attempt against him requires readiness for the most unimaginable scenarios," Patrushev commented, adding that Trump's positions are not shared by all Americans in political circles.

He stated that these positions differ significantly from the plans of the Democratic Party, individual owners of industrial giants and transnational corporations, therefore, "it is extremely important to ensure the safety of Trump and his entourage before taking office, as well as during his presidency".

Patrushev pointed out that for the administration of current US President Joe Biden, Ukraine was an absolute priority, but it is not among Trump's priorities because "he is more concerned about China".

"Trump outlined his interests in Greenland, the Panama Canal, Mexico and Canada. Redrawing the world map according to one's own interests and interfering in the affairs of countries from different continents is an American tradition... There is no doubt that in all these areas the new administration will very aggressively pursue its own interests," the Russian president's aide said.

As for US relations with China, Patrushev indicated that he believes that Washington's disagreements with Beijing will worsen, "and the Americans will inflate them, even artificially."

"For us, China was and remains the most important partner, with which we are connected by a particularly privileged strategic cooperation. These relations are not subject to the economic situation, they are preserved regardless of who occupies the Oval Office," he emphasized.

According to him, the main "priority of Russia is the protection and well-being of Russian citizens and compatriots around the world." He notes that "discrimination against the Russian population must be stopped in a number of countries, including the Baltic states and Moldova".

"The authorities of these countries continue to plunge themselves into a deep crisis with reckless actions and at the same time stubbornly twist the Russophobic pendulum. The energy crisis is particularly indicative, for which the Moldovan authorities, who conscientiously carry out orders from Brussels to reduce gas dependence on Russia, are 100% to blame," Patrushev emphasizes and adds that Chisinau "should not deceive itself or its people". "The authorities should not look for enemies inside the country or in Transnistria, but should admit their mistakes and begin to correct the situation".

"I do not exclude the possibility that Chisinau's aggressive anti-Russian policy will lead to Moldova either becoming part of another country or ceasing to exist. In this situation, you can look at the example of Ukraine, where neo-Nazism and Russophobia led the country to collapse, long before the "special military operation" (the war in Ukraine), he warns.

Patrushev adds that "the Russian course towards Ukraine remains unchanged and that it is important for the world to recognize the entry into the Russian Federation of the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics (DPR and LPR), Zaporizhia and Kherson regions, Crimea and Sevastopol, "which are in accordance with the Constitution as an integral part of our country".

Patrushev points out that "the Ukrainian people remain close, fraternal, bound by centuries-old ties with Russia, no matter how much Kiev propagandists obsessed with "Kiev" claim the opposite".

"We are not indifferent to what is happening in Ukraine", he points out.

And he states that "negotiations on Ukraine should be conducted between Russia and the United States without the participation of other Western countries".

"There is nothing to discuss with either London or Brussels. The EU leadership, for example, no longer has the right to speak on behalf of many of its members, such as Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Romania and some other European countries that are interested in stability in Europe and a balanced attitude towards Russia," Patrushev concluded the interview.
