Israel has freed 90 Palestinian prisoners as part of an agreement with the radical Hamas movement to release hostages held in the Gaza Strip and implement a ceasefire. This was reported by the newspaper The Jerusalem Post.
According to the Israel Prisons Authority, the Palestinian prisoners were released in exchange for the three Israeli hostages released on January 19.
The women held in the Gaza Strip for 470 days are Romy Gonen (24 years old), Emily Damari (28 years old) and Doron Steinbrecher (31 years old). They were met by the Israeli military and accompanied by them arrived on Israeli territory.
