The West is trying to prevent the participation of leaders of various countries in the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in Moscow, said the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin in an interview with RIA Novosti.
According to Naryshkin, Western capitals understand that their success in such actions will be of great importance in their plans and dreams of complete isolation of Russia. In addition, attempts to thwart the celebrations are among the priorities of the foreign ministries and special services of these countries, he noted.
“But, of course, they will not achieve this“, he added.
“And it must be said that these attempts are one of the priorities of the foreign policy departments and special services of Western countries“, the SVR director said.
Vladimir Putin said earlier that Russia would be glad to see everyone who wants to come to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and many heads of state have received invitations to this event in Moscow.
