Ukrainian drones have attempted to attack the Smolensk NPP, said Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation Commission on Sovereignty.
Before this announcement of an attack on a "nuclear facility" made the head of the Smolensk region, Russian Vasily Anokhin, and one drone was shot down.
He noted that civilian targets in various areas were subjected to massive drone attacks, and the strikes were repelled by air defense systems.
Drone debris caused a fire in the Kstovsky industrial zone of Nizhny Novgorod, the governor of the Russian region Gleb Nikitin reported.
As a result of repelling a drone attack, fragments of them fell on the territory of an oil base. Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the fire.
According to the governor, there were no injuries.
Air defense forces shot down 26 Ukrainian drones over the territory of the Bryansk region, the head of the Russian region, Alexander Bogomaz, announced.
He noted that there were no injuries, emergency teams have arrived at the scene and are inspecting the area.
Twenty drones were shot down in the Toropetsk district of the Tver region, said the regional governor, Igor Rudenya.
Several more drones were destroyed over other areas of the region.
