Israel will release 110 Palestinian prisoners today in exchange for three more Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip, Agence France-Presse reported, quoted by BTA, citing a statement by the Palestinian non-governmental organization "Palestinian Prisoners Club".

The agency notes that this will be the third exchange between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" since the ceasefire agreement came into force.

According to the non-governmental organization, 32 of the Palestinian prisoners have been sentenced to life imprisonment, 48 are serving various sentences, and 30 are minors. They are due to arrive in the city of Ramallah around noon local time (10:00 GMT), the statement said. Twenty of them will be sent into exile, as were other Palestinian prisoners in a previous exchange.

The prisoners are being released in exchange for two young Israeli women and an 80-year-old man with dual German and Israeli citizenship. Five Thais are also to be released in the exchange as part of the ceasefire agreement, but their identities have not been released.

Since January 19, when the first phase of the ceasefire between Israel and "Hamas" began, seven Israeli hostages have been released in exchange for 290 Palestinian prisoners held in Israel.
