The US military has launched a series of strikes on Yemen's Houthi-controlled Hodeidah province, the rebel-owned Al Masirah TV channel reported.

According to the media, the attack took place in the Et-Tuhayta area, located on the Red Sea coast about 70 kilometers south of the port city of Hodeidah, the administrative center of the province of the same name. The TV channel claims that US warplanes carried out at least six strikes on the city of Al-Fazah. There is no information about the consequences of the attack.

For their part, the Houthis attacked a military target near Tel Aviv using a hypersonic ballistic missile, said Yahya Sariyah, a representative of the rebel armed forces.

"The missile forces carried out a military operation during which they hit an Israeli military target in the southern part of the occupied Jaffa region (ed. meaning Tel Aviv) using a "Palestine-2" hypersonic ballistic missile, Sariyah said. According to him, this operation is the second in the last 24 hours and "successfully achieved its goal".

The Yemeni rebels, Sariyah stressed, will continue to strike Israeli territory despite the attacks from the United States. Ships linked to Israel will also be targeted in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden until Israel ceases operations in the Gaza Strip, he added.

On March 20, the Israel Defense Forces press service reported that a missile had been fired from Yemen toward the Jewish state. The air force intercepted the missile before it entered Israeli airspace. Air raid sirens were activated in several areas of Israel.

On March 15, the US military, on the orders of President Donald Trump, began carrying out massive strikes on territory in Yemen. The operation is aimed at protecting American interests and ensuring freedom of navigation, the US Central Command said.
