Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow for an official meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Reuters reported, BTA reports.
The main topics on the agenda of the talks between the two leaders include the construction of a long-planned second gas pipeline to export Russian natural gas to China, as well as a number of key international issues. Among them are the war in Ukraine and the potential resumption of strategic talks between Moscow and Washington.
Xi arrived in Russia yesterday for a four-day state visit. He is expected to be the highest-ranking foreign guest at the upcoming military parade on Red Square dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe - an event of great symbolism for Russian statehood.
