US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said he does not trust Moody's, which lowered the United States' rating this week.
“The important thing is that President Trump just returned from a historic trip to the Middle East and there are trillions of dollars coming into the United States. We see confidence from investors, so I have some confidence in Moody's“, he told CNN.
Earlier, the rating agency Moody's lowered the US rating from AAA to AA1 with a stable outlook, citing the growth of US government debt.
