The Ukrainian President has described the section of the front passing through the Kiev-controlled part of Donetsk region as "the hottest" for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, highlighting the Pokrovsk region.
"We have a long report from Defense Minister Umerov and military commanders on the situation at the front. The situation is hottest in the Donetsk region, especially in the Pokrovsk direction", said a message on his Telegram channel.
A day earlier, Lieutenant General Igor Romanenko, former deputy chief of the Ukrainian General Staff, reported on the difficult situation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several areas of the front. He singled out the Novopavlovsk direction towards the Dnipropetrovsk region, the Liman direction in the Kiev-controlled territory of the DPR, as well as the front in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Later, Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmytro Razumkov stated that it would be increasingly difficult for the Ukrainian armed forces to hold the front with each passing month, which is why it is necessary to end the military conflict this year.
