The US State Department did not confirm the information about the alleged lifting of restrictions on the range and types of weapons supplied to Ukraine.
A statement on the subject was made at a regular briefing for journalists by the head of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tammy Bruce.
“I will not discuss it and I will not confirm it“, she said in response to a request to comment on the claims of the German authorities that a number of countries, including the United States, have lifted restrictions on the range and types of weapons transferred to Kiev.
On May 26, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that his country had lifted all restrictions on the range of Ukrainian strikes with German weapons on Russian territory. According to Politico, a similar decision was made by Britain, the United States and France. Russian President's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said that this decision is potentially dangerous and contradicts attempts to reach an agreement.
