Russia will continue the special military operation until the root causes of the Ukrainian conflict are eliminated if all agreements necessary to achieve peace with Ukraine are not ratified.
This was said by the chairman of the State Duma defense committee Andrei Kartapolov on Channel One.
Kartapolov noted that Russia does not want to be deceived by an immediate ceasefire without preconditions. "Either we will fix everything on paper, legislatively, then ratify it in parliaments and conclude really serious agreements, or we will continue the special military operation until the root causes of the disgrace that is happening now are eliminated," he said.
The head of the military commission added that Russia has been promised "mountains of gold" more than once, and then deceived. "We don't want this anymore," he concluded.
Meanwhile, the NATO press service announced that the contact group on arms supplies to Ukraine will meet on June 4 in Brussels at NATO headquarters before the meeting of the alliance's defense ministers.
“The meeting of the Contact Group on Ukraine, chaired by Britain and Germany, will be held on June 4 at NATO headquarters,“ the statement said.
On June 5-6, a meeting of NATO defense ministers will be held in Brussels, where preparations for the NATO summit in The Hague at the end of June will be discussed.
