A 19-year-old Serbian woman died tragically while parasailing in Budva, Montenegro.
Tijana Radonić panicked in the air and for some reason unbuckled her seat belt. The young woman fell 50 meters into the Adriatic Sea, and doctors only declared her dead.
The owner of the parasailing company said that the woman was cheerful before the flight and nothing suggested the subsequent events, which were captured on camera. “We don't know why she unbuckled her seat belt. "I believe it was not deliberate - just a moment of uncontrollable fear," the company's owner said.
A video has been circulating on social media showing 19-year-old Tijana Radonić, originally from Serbia, unbuckling her life jacket and safety devices seconds before falling 50 meters into the Adriatic Sea in Budva.
Although a "panic attack" has been cited as the reason for her jump, family members have demanded an investigation, ndtv reports. She showed no fear of flying. She underwent training, after which the tragedy occurred. Technical checks of all equipment are underway and the results of the autopsy are awaited.
Parasailing is a recreational activity in which a person with a parachute is towed from a motorboat, usually over a sea or lake. As the boat accelerates, the person rises into the air and flies above the water, attached to a metal rope connected to the boat.
